Momentum Continues ...
Several homeowners attended the August 20 board of directors meeting. My original plan was to ask the board to hold a membership meeting and request that the board meetings be opened to homeowners.

Here's where we are now: We have made some progress toward being allowed to attend the board meetings. At the August 20 meeting, attendees were allowed to attend the meeting until the board went into executive session.

Re: the membership meeting: Several homeowners are working with me toward this goal, and I will be providing more information about this in the upcoming weeks.

Since the last board meeting (July 16), I have been working with Principal Management to obtain a list of homeowners. I developed a list, and am in the process of comparing it to the list Principal Management provided, as well as a list I purchased from the Fort Bend WCID #2.

A newsletter, sponsored by the board, is currently under development with a targeted distribution date of mid-September.

We also are compiling email addresses to help us communicate as a community. So.. please ask your neighbor to contact me so we can have as comprehensive a list as possible of our residents.

And, check the website frequently -- as we obtain updated information, we will post it to this site.

Thanks for your continued support.

Continuing the Momentum

The next board meeting of the Promenade Homeowners Association is scheduled for Thursday, Aug 20, at 5:30 pm, at Stafford City Hall. I have asked to be placed on the agenda to discuss a membership meeting and request that the board meetings be open to members except for executive sessions. The rules for executive sessions need to be set. Also, the minutes from June and July need to be made public.

Since the last meeting, I have pulled together a listing of all the residents in the subdivision. I am about 20 homes short. I would like to have the e-mail address of all homeowners to be able to distribute a subdivision newsletter as timely and economically as possible. The first issue of the newsletter will be sent out around Labor Day.

The home and e-mail addresses will be used for other communications that will keep us united as a community, but ideally we would like to combine the newsletter with the web blogsite and only have to pay postage on a minimum mailing.

Please plan to attend the Aug. 20 board meeting as you did for the July board meeting and encourage your neighbors to get involved. It is imperative that we continue the momentum so we can have a voice in our community.
